Great first week of games - lots of rust to be worked out, but they say teams improve most between weeks one and two. The Doc is liking this week's lineup - made better when Miamia and Florida State were forced to move their game due to the real hurricane in Florida. Best wishes to all that had to endure the storm.

 Florida State +1.5 at Miami -1.5 GET THE LIVE COLLEGE FOOTBALL BETTING LINES The Doc is well aware of the talk around Coral Gables these days: the Hurricanes will be a bit down this year...the offense will not be that great, the defense is young..etc. Well, I'm not quite ready to buy all that. I think ol Brock Berlin is gonna show some people whats up. Chris Rix does not scare me in a big game on the road. Just doesn't. Miami has owned this series, making the Doc question if it's actually a "rivalry" at all. Can the Seminoles make a statement here? In what figures to be wet conditions, the Doc is gonna go with Miami and a strong running game.

MICHIGAN -13.5 at NOTRE DAME +13.5GET THE LIVE COLLEGE FOOTBALL BETTING LINES The Wolverines looked a bit rusty last week against Miami of Ohio, having trouble moving the ball on the ground. The Irish, on the other hand, were downright laughable. There is big trouble in South Bend these days. Still, the Doc is figuring that ND will come up with a stellar effort against their long time rivals. This game will be won in the trenches, and also by UM's superior secondary. They will be able to shut down ND's passing attack with man coverage, freeing up the safeties to blitz early and often. Doc just doesn't see ol Brady Quinn making them pay. Greggy the Greek's: NFL EdgeSeattle -2.5 at New Orleans +2.5GET THE LIVE NFL BETTING LINE NOW! Seattle is lots of peoples sleeper pick this year to win the west. This will be a rough opening day test. Don't get discouraged if they don't look good in this one, N'awlins is the type of team that can roll it up on ya. The Hawks will be OK this year, but probably could get swamped by the Saints.
Tampa Bay +1.5 at Washington -1.5GET THE LIVE NFL BETTING LINE NOW! Joe Gibbs makes his home debut and is hoping for a repeat of his pre-season debut. They will no doubt be going wild in DC, and this could make for an interesting game. The Skins defense is a question mark to me, and I think the Bucs will be able to solve it. The Buc Defense is the x factor though. I think that at this time the Skins are still adopting to Joe Gibbs smash mouth ball and that will help the Bucs. As the season wears on though the Skins will get better at grinding out the Ws.
Tennessee -3.5 at Miami +3.5GET THE LIVE NFL BETTING LINE NOW! A really tough game to call here. Sure everyone is burying Miami already, but they shown signs in the preseason that they still have a sturdy defense. Tennessee comes in confident and just quite possibly also buying the hype that Miami is done. Yet Miami is a beast in September at home especially. Remember they lost their home opener last year... I can't confidently say that they will win this game, but I am going to go that route anyway, saying that the Defense and Olindo Mare carry them to this one.
Atlanta -3.5 at San Francisco +3.5GET THE LIVE NFL BETTING LINE NOW! This is a sneaky match up here. You look at this game and you think Atlanta should come away with this one. Jim Mora jr. leads his new team against the team he came from. He has a relatively healthy Micheal Vick, and Atlanta should roll. Well that's why I am leery of this one. I kinda like the Niners to rally around for this one, and lay an upset on their old coordinator.
Dallas +4.5 at Minnesota -4.5GET THE LIVE NFL BETTING LINE NOW! This will be a huge game. Two quality teams in a huge early season clash. Parcells looks to have the Cowboys back in the winning mindset, closing out the preseason at 3-1 despite the turmoil. He has a healthy Vinny Testaverde looking re-energized and he will feature plenty of Eddie George. It will be up the Viking Defense to shut him down, and that will determine this game. Dallas defense will be sturdy enough to keep them in it. Yet the Viking Defense led by Chris Hovan will be up for the challenge. Minny starts this year like they did last.
N.Y. Giants +9.5 at Philadelphia -9.5GET THE LIVE NFL BETTING LINE NOW! Now before we go and put Philly in the super bowl based on off season signings. They actually have to play the games. The Eagles were a championship team, and the Giants however are rebuilding. The Giants entire front 7 is new (except for Strahan) and they hardly had any time together in pre-season due to injury. Likewise with their offensive leader Jeremy Shockey missed all of the preseason. Their offensive line is also rebuilt and they did play in the preseason, woefully. So that much is known. Jevon Kearse and Hugh Douglass should exploit that and batter the Giants offense. McNabb and co. will do the rest.
Kansas City +3.5 at Denver -3.5GET THE LIVE NFL BETTING LINE NOW! A huge AFC west showdown right off the gate. These two figure to be battling for this division title, so this will give one of these teams the big leg up. Denver is usually really good at home, and at this time of the year, still has everyone healthy. Even so, I thought their defense looked fairly vulnerable in the preseason, they will have to do better than that, cause the Chiefs definitely don't lack firepower.

Green Bay +2.5 at Carolina -2.5GET THE LIVE NFL BETTING LINE NOW! Brett Farve has guaranteed a Superbowl for Green Bay. While Carolina was playing in it last time anything counted. They open up the defense of the NFC crown at home against a really tough Green Bay team with Ahman Green, leading charge. He and Brett Farve give Green Bay a shot to win any game they play in! While Carolina may have offensive line concerns, they certainly don't have any on the defensive line. Julius Peppers and Rucker and company, will contain Ahman Green, harass Farve, and the Panthers will prevail.

Georgia -8.5 at South Carolina +8.5GET THE LIVE COLLEGE FOOTBALL BETTING LINES It was a sight to see SC's offense revert back to the old Lou Holtz power option. He's got the line and the backs to take that O pretty far this year. Georgia, under Coach Richt, have been true road warriors. Still, this will be a tough one. Doc sees SC pounding the ball with Dondrial Pinkins and playing patient D to frustrate David Greene. Greene has a new weapon in frosh sensation RB Danny Ware, but Doc is here to tell ya that it's too big a load for the youngster on the road. The 'Cocks pull the upset!
Penn State -2.5 at Boston College +2.5GET THE LIVE COLLEGE FOOTBALL BETTING LINES The Doc came away very impressed with this Penn State team. Boston College is a good team, and will benefit from being at home. Yet, it just seems that Penn State has a more dynamic offense now that coordinator Galen Hall is on the staff. This guy knows football. The keys for Penn State to pull the upset on the road is to neutralize defensive studs Will Blackmon and DE freak Mathias Kiwanuka. Zack Mills needs to play consistent, solid ball and the Lions will go home a winner.
