Buffalo +5.5 at Tennessee -5.5The recently resurgent Bills - winners of two in a row, come down to visit the suddenly struggling Titans who have dropped their last two. Don't know that this is exactly the cause to panic for Tennessee fans - but Steve McNairs bone spur might be. Again he is questionable for this weeks game. This does not bode well for a team with post season aspirations. Nor does it bode well if they keep getting their QB beaten down week in and week out. The Titans should right the ship this week, as Buffalo really struggles on the road, even if McNair does not play. Dallas -1.5 at Washington +1.5The old time shoot out between these classic rivals. Dallas comes in on a bit of a slide having lost two in a row and 3 of their last 4. The Redskins meanwhile posted a very impressive road win up in New York, and more importantly have covered the point spread in 4 out of their last 5 games. This means that the Skins arent just playing out the string, they are still fighting hard. Dallas is also fighting, fighting for a playoff spot, and despite the setbacks. Parcells will find places to exploit the exploitable Skins and will Pressure young backup QB Tim Hasselbeck into mistakes which will prove the difference in this NFC Eastern showdown. The Broncos were able to exploit that due to a super effort from superstar RB Clinton Portis. Don't worry though Detroit has no one of that Caliber. Joey Harrington one day may become one - but he isnt now and will not be this Sunday Afternoon. The KC line will be blowing open huge holes for THE superstar in this game Priest Holmes. Houston +9.5 at Tampa Bay -9.5Guess I was a little too quick to bury the Bucs. With the NFC playoff picture the way it is - not only can Tampa make a run now to get to the postseason, but they can still capture the division title with some help. The Texans have been scrappy all year, and still have some Defense left. However going into Tampas lair with a green rookie like Dave Ragone playing in only his second NFL game has got to have Tampas defense and fans excited.
Jacksonville +7.5 at New England -7.5New England has now emerged as the front runner in the AFC title hunt. Getting home field advantage is in their sites and could be just what mr. Belicheck ordered to get them where they want to go. It wont be easy this week though as they host the next hottest team in the AFC and the hottest "gamblers" pick in the league. Sure NE will win this game, but don't discount my man Leftwich with them points. Minnesota -3.5 at Chicago +3.5A very intriguing match up indeed. The Vikes holding a tenuous lead in the NFC north need every game if they want to make a post season appearance. Problem is that they struggle on the road. Not only that but they also struggle in the cold. The Bears may not be going anywhere now, but are still playing solid respectable ball. The humor in this is that a Bears win here would ultimately be of greatest benefit to the Bears greatest rival the Packers. Pittsburgh +3.5 at N.Y. Jets -3.5A big time battle among to teams playing out the string yet still playing quality ball. Both of these two are out of it based on what they didn't do earlier on. They are now playing like they expected to all year, so who will win this game, you ask. I still like Pennington and the Jets, but that defense of theirs will struggle to contain the Speed of the Steelers recievers and Bettis will have a big day running on those LBs, it will be tight but I like the Steel Might!

This game will no doubt determine the fate of the NFC West. The Rams come home after a big Monday night win on the road and outdoors. They are now playing to keep from having to do that in the playoffs. Seattle has repeatedly proved it can't win on the road, and I was torched thinking that they could change that last week. I won't make that mistake twice. Especially not going into St Louis with a healthy Marshall Faulk.

The 49ers seem to have found some offense hanging 50 on the board last week. While the red hot Bengals were cooled off by bad-ass Baltimore. Baltimore -6.5 at Oakland +6.5Even if the Raiders season werent completely in ruin as it is, this would be a tough game for them to win. The Ravens much like 2000 are really coming on and playing great ball. They arent just winning they are blowing the doors off! Their Defense is beyond suffocating as they completely diffuse an offense and WILL score when the opposing offense makes mistakes. The Raiders are in disarray and could even be without 3rd string QB Rik Mirer. There is no truth to the rumor that they have contacted yours truly to play QB for them - but they might as well - I couldn't do any worse! In fact that might be about the ONLY way they would cover!! The home crowd, a dome team outdoors in the cold on grass, national TV. Why did they lose. Simply - their offensive line is not good. Whether its Kelly Holcomb or Tim Couch under center wont matter when they are running for their lives. Throw in the fact that Clinton Portis who might be running the ball better than anyone right now, might be taking this personally since his old college coach with Cleveland didn't draft him. This has all the makings of a game that will get ugly. Despite the Bomber telling me to grab the points! Carolina -6.5 at Arizona +6.5Well Carolina fans, here it is, proof that your team will not collapse, and validation in my confidence in the Cats. A date with the sorry Cardinals, will end the Carolina losing streak and give them their Ninth win this season. One more win after this one clinches the division. What? You say they haven't won this game yet - merely a formality. The Cards are a bad team and even with a TD spread at home will be lucky to be within double digits of Carolina. Green Bay -4.5 at San Diego +4.5The Chargers have had an infusion of life from the insertion of 41 year old Doug Flutie in at QB. They have won 2 out of three, and covered the last 3 times out. Hard to go against a numbers like that, even for a 3-10 team. Green Bay though is making a playoff push, and I guarentee that Brett Farve is going all out since this may be his last hurrah.
