Pittsburgh +2.5 vs. Carolina -2.5The final pre-season game is usually the worst to bet on. Most teams like Pitts. know who the starting QB, RB and other guys will be and usually don't even dress them for these games. All that being said it's the battle of the back ups. Carolina is still looking at getting guys in synch and they have had a really good pre-season. The Steelers have had a mixed preseason winning games but playing and looking at lots of guys. Maddox likely wont play this game, which means lots of Charlie Batch. Against a really good Carolina Defense that really excites me - even if it is pre-season. The one worry I have is that St. Pierre the 3rd stringer comes in the second half and leads the Steelers back. Washington +8.5 at Ohio State -8.5GET THE LIVE COLLEGE FOOTBALL BETTING LINES Two teams that have undergone a ton of turmoil in the offseason. The Buckeyes are hoping that Lydell Ross can make fans forget the Mo Clarett saga for a while. The Huskies are hoping that they can get by without Slick Rick. Doc thinks that Tressel will circle the wagons at home and come out with a nice win here. Georgia -2.5 at Clemson +2.5GET THE LIVE COLLEGE FOOTBALL BETTING LINES Tommy Bowden's Tigers have been looking for a big win for a couple of years now. This one would qualify. Georgia comes to town with a highly ranked team and a stud QB in David Greene. More importantly for early season road success, they bring a solid defense as well. The Doc can't see Clemson being able to man up enough along the lines to win this one. Bucs Seattle +2.5 vs. Denver -2.5I had high hopes for Denver going into this season. I started really doubting the validity of those hopes as I watched Denver play last week. QB Jake Plummer played well into the third quarter and looked just like the Plummer of Arizona - getting flushed out of the pocket and throwing it up for grabs. He did show some flashes of brilliance. I am uneasy about that pick (as a playoff team), However if you think I am uneasy how must Shanahan feel? Denver still looks like they have solid lines on both sides of the ball and lots of Depth, I cant see them dropping two in a row at home even in the preseason. Plummer will play this game I am sure - and will be sharp, he has to be. Then Buerline will take over and Jarious Jackson and Danny Kannell could play too. Tennessee is not coming into this season ranked as high as they are used to, and may have something to prove. Fresno State is not, however, the pushover that they once were. Coach Pat Hill has built a very tough team out in the Valley. They will put some points up against the Vols, and should be good enough to keep this one relatively close. Yeah, I'm taking the Vols - but not by three TDs. ************************************* USC +3.5 at Auburn -3.5GET THE LIVE COLLEGE FOOTBALL BETTING LINES A brutal road test for Pete Carroll's troops. These teams should be two of the best in the nation. The Tigers have an awesome array of talent on offense, starting with TB Carnell Williams. He will run early and often against a mean Trojan defense. QB Jason Campbell has some real weapons to throw to as well, so it will be hard to truly shut this offense down. The Trojans certainly won't be as productive as they were last season with Carson Palmer at the helm.
