 One thing is for sure : it's getting harder to tell the have's from the have not's in college ball these days. The eighty-five man scholorship limit has helped to somewhat level the playing field. In turn, many young, up-and-coming coaches are taking head jobs at small schools with the belief that they can play with the big boys. Urban Meyer at Bowling Green is a prime example of this. Did you know that the Falcons are ranked higher than the likes of Michigan State, Florida, and Tennessee? Nice job, coach. Now for this week's matchups:
Oklahoma -12.5 at Colorado +12.5GET ACTION ON THIS GAME NOW - CLICK HERE The Sooners have had lots of trouble with Colorado in the recent and not so recent past. Chris Brown is an awesome back and really should be on the Heisman radar at this point. The Sooner defense has really come around, though. The Doc is not about to pick against the best coaching staff in college ball. Georgia -1.5 at Florida +1.5GET ACTION ON THIS GAME NOW - CLICK HERE Under coach Spurrier, this was usually the game where a tough Georgia team would be sent crashing back to earth by the Gators. Under new coach Ron Zook, things will play out differently. This Gator team is struggling, while the boys from Athens have really put things together. Sunday, Nov 3.Tennessee +2.5 at Indianapolis -2.5The one time respectable Tennessee Titans look to put an end to Indianapolis' two game losing skid. Both of Indy losses came on the road, and on grass. Indy is a better team on their turf where they can better utilize thier quickness. Indy is way overrated, and thier Defense sucks, and Payton Manning audiblizes way to much, and I dont like Tony Dungees playcalling. Tennessee should consider themselves fortunate that they got to play Cincy, more so that they won last week. They wont get that lucky again this week. ************************************* N.Y. Jets +7.5 at San Diego -7.5The Jest thought that they had played thier way back into the playoff race by beating the Vikes two weeks ago. They also must have thought that you can get a win if you play a good HALF of football. Well you can only do that at VIP SPORTS. The Chargers this year seem intent on finishing things off - you know drives, halfs, games, Jets. ************************************* San Francisco +2.5 at Oakland -2.5How the mighty have fallen. The Raiders were the last unbeaten this season going into St Louis, they have yet to win again. Worse yet there were signs of dissent and fingerpointing. This is where the Coach will play a role. With Gruden you knew they would come together and fight back. Can Callahan rally the Raiders, can they overcome both the strife and the rash of injuries? Possibly - against some teams. The Niners however aren't showing any signs of that and with thier running game - against the Raiders banged up defense - it will be a scarier than usual in Raiderland. ************************************* St. Louis -2.5 at Arizona +2.5This is one of those games where you throw the records out. Arizona as we found out is no threat to win a division title with Jake Plummer throwing picks in the endzone. St. Louis was all but buried when they started 0-5 and have since won 2 in a row behind a rookie QB no less. Marshall Faulk is good enough to put this team on his shoulders and Mike Martz finally figured that out. Who do the Cards have who can match him? Even so, I have confidence in Jake Plummer to find some way to throw a big INT with the game on the line. ************************************* Washington +2.5 at Seattle -2.5Both teams come in off victories and with some confidence. Spurrier tapped QB Shane Matthews last week - after stating Wuerful would start -- remind anyone of Doug Johnson, Jessie Palmer, Rex Grossman QB carousel of a few years back. Spurrier has always done this. Holmgren on the other hand lost Trent Dilfer for the season and is back with Matt Hassleback at QB. Who has at times looked competent. RBs Shaun Alexander and Stephen Davis are decent runners - both have decent defenses. Seattles may be just a little underrated and is due for a big game at home. Besides cant not dance with the girl I brought to the ball now, after she was no nice to me last week!! ************************************* Jacksonville +3.5 at N.Y. Giants -3.5Just what we need after that thriller on monday night, another Nationally televised game featuring the Giants. The ones who have scored 7 TDs in 7 games. For the Giants that is not out of the norm, the defense giving up 300 yards rushing is. They really miss DL Keith Hamilton in the middle of that defense - and Jacksonville wont. Fred Taylor will also find big holes and lanes in that defense again this week for Jacksonville looking to redeem themselves after losing to the Texans at home. Besides with the way the Giants are scoring this year they couldnt cover 3 AND A HALF(!!?!!) points with a blanket AND a drop cloth... ************************************* Monday, Nov. 4

 Virginia Tech -12.5 at Pittsburgh +12.5GET ACTION ON THIS GAME NOW - CLICK HERE The Panthers are a good team. That being said, they will face a stern test when the Untouchables come into town. Jones and Suggs are the best tailback tandem in the country and the Tech D is no joke. Texas -3.5 at Nebraska +3.5GET ACTION ON THIS GAME NOW - CLICK HERE Two storied programs that are having disappointing seasons. The Huskers are really struggling this season with a subpar defense and not enough production from the running backs. For Texas, all that talent won't mean a thing if they let Nebraska hang around too long at home. If the crowd stays in it, the Huskers will have the juice to steal one and have something to hang their hats on in an otherwise tough year. Doc is calling for the upset here. *************************************
