Tell ya what, you gotta love Louisville beating FSU. And how bout them Iowa Hawkeyes? Games like that are the reason why college ball is still the best (just don't say that to those NFL Edge guys). The Doc's gonna break down four more good ones for you guys, so don't get caught up thinking about next weeks phenominal games - there's more than enough good stuff going down this week - starting toinght. Editors Note:The Good Doctor made and submit his 4 games on Weds, but due to other business affairs we were not able to get them up in time. Doc picked Fla. State -14 over Clemson Thursday - which was a Winner but like I said I didnt get it posted here in time Sorry about that Doc, thats the third time winner this year I screwed up for you, OOOPS... anyway heres the other three picks for this week! Docs (follow up) Note: Well since I still need four picks for this week, I like Fresno to cover against CSU at home. Oh, and the Doc really likes Western Michigan to cover the 10.5 against the Bulls from Buffalo. Penn State +2.5 @ Wisconsin -2.5Suddenly, Penn State is faced with a must win in it's Big Ten season. How quickly things change. Luckily, they are facing the worst 5-0 team ever. I like Penn State to handle the Badgers, who may be without Lee Evans again and really lack the game breakers that State has. Sunday, Oct. 6Tampa Bay -1.5 at Atlanta +1.5Tampa looks to have hit thier stride now, after starting slow, they look to have adjusted to Grudens offense and are starting to make plays. This is another dangerous game for the Bucs as they go into Atlanta and take on Micheal Vick and the Falcons. Years Past this would be one that the Bucs might let slip away. I dont see that in this years team, this is a big divisional test, and having lost to New Orl. earlier in the year, the Bucs will be very focused for this game. ************************************* Washington +6.5 at Tennessee -6.5The Skins come in after a week off to face a Tenn team that just got LIT up by the Raiders. Tenn will either respond with a big rebound game or they really are that bad. Well the Raiders had some HOF type WRs to exploit the suspect Tenn secondary. Washington clearly does not have those WRs nor a quality QB to exploit that weakness. While Tenn does have Steve McNair who is coming off a career high passing day, will likely exploit the Redskins. ************************************* Kansas City -6.5 at N.Y. Jets +6.5The NY Jets have looked more like the Hindenburg in thier last 3 games. In turn they get one of the NFLs best backs in Priest Holmes and the High Scoring Chiefs. Does this look like a mismatch? The Chiefs are finally taking to Dick Vermiels schemes and as we saw with Miami when they are on they can really light it up. They should do so again this week as the Jets appear to have thrown in the Towel ALREADY this season. On the plus side for the Jets, if they keep this up, they could wind up drafting Byron Leftwich to reunite him with his teammate Chad Pennington. ************************************* San Diego at Denver NLSan Diego continues to shock people with thier 4-0 start, as does Denver. Both teams have good running games, solid defenses and good young QBs. This will be San Diegos 2nd road game this season, and Denver with the Altitude, is a much tougher place to go into and win than Arizona. The Chargers will be full of confidence nevertheless, but Denver who had just about everything go wrong on Monday night, will be ready for this weeks game from the get go. ************************************* Philadelphia -3.5 at Jacksonville +3.5Jacksonville really came through for me last week. With a healthy RB Fred Taylor they really are a different team. QB Mark Brunell to Jimmy Smith is as deadly a combination as there is in the NFL. Philly, however, is probably playing the best football in the league right now. They have the look of a champion blowing out thier past two opponents, this will be a much closer affair. ************************************* St. Louis +6.5 at San Francisco -6.5Remember how ridiculous I sounded in the preseason when I said if the Rams lost Faulk and Warner they might be worse than the Texans. Well the Texans have won a game and covered two(for those who count that sort of stuff). Going to SF where the Rams have picked on the 49ers in recent years. Things are just about to get worse. The Niners will exact thier revenge, and send a message that they are the real "west coast" team in the West. ************************************* Baltimore +2.5 at Cleveland -2.5Cleveland comes home still in first place despite not capitalizing on the game Pitt tried to hand them last week. The Ravens finally got it on track offensively with 31 points in the first half Monday night. Dont let that fool you,(didnt I say this about Detroit last week) a visit from Art Modells Ravens still incites near riots in Cleveland. ************************************* Monday, Sep. 23

 Oklahoma -13.5 @ Missouri +13.5Oklahoma has not impressed the Doc so far as a top team. They have a ferocious D, but the offense has really been stuck in low gear. I see them struggling against a tough Missouri team led by QB Brad Smith. If he can get the Tigers into the end zone, there could be trouble for the Sooners. I say Bob Stoops finds a way to win this one, but it won't be easy. ************************************* Oklahoma State +23.5 at Texas -24.5The showdown with Oklahoma is just a week away, but second-ranked Texas will do well to avoid looking past Saturday's Big 12 Conference opener against Oklahoma State. However Texas has won four straight and nine of the last 10 against Oklahoma State to open a 14-2 lead in the all-time series. The Cowboys' last victory came in Stillwater in 1997.
