November is here and this is where the champs seperate themselves from the rest...Last weekend, a few BCS hopefuls were knocked off by tough teams that weren't going to buy into any hype. Oklahoma and Miami remain the cream of the crop, and will be tested this week in tough road games. Lets see how the Doc feels about the best matchups of the week:
Virgina Tech -11.5 at Syracuse +11.5GET ACTION ON THIS GAME NOW - CLICK HERE Damn! The Doc was all set to call this the upset special, had it circled on the schedule and everything! Then the Hokies go and lose last week to Pittsburgh. Bad news for the 'Cuse. Losing RB Kevin Jones will hurt the Tech, but Lee Suggs and company will be very pissed off and focused for this game. The Hokies will methodically grind this one out, running away with it in the fourth quarter. ************************************* Ever dreamed about a place on South Beach??

Ohio St -6.5 at Purdue +6.5GET ACTION ON THIS GAME NOW - CLICK HERE Purdue QB Chance Harridge broke his hand in a brawl at a frat house? What's up with these Big 10 QBs these days? Purdue has played tough against some very stiff competition so far, and the Doc thinks they will continue this trend against the Buckeyes. Purdue will load up the box and make OSU beat them through the air. As for the Buckeyes, they will continue to play solid defense and win this one by a field goal. ************************************* Ever dreamed about a place on South Beach??

Sunday, Oct. 13N.Y. Giants -2.5 at Minnesota +2.5Seems these two were in the exact same position exactly one year ago. The Giants coming off a big win needing this game to try to get back into the playoff picture. The Vikes may not be thinking playoffs this year, but have that dangerous offense. The bad news is that thier defense is so porous that Tampa put up 38 points on them. Looking like the Giants with Fassel back calling the plays went to the run last week and beat the Jags. They would need another big rushing day to beat the Vikes. The Gints should win this game, but they have not had much success in the VikingDome, less so as favorites, and if they dont finish thier long time consuming drives. I smell a Giant let down. ************************************* San Diego +5.5 at St. Louis -5.5That sound you hear is the thundering Ram hoofs as they race to get back in the race. Sure at 3-5 they are still but a footnote in the playoff scenarios, but behind rookie QB Marc Bulger they have strung together a few nice wins. If this keeps happening they could be 5-5 getting Kurt Warner back. For the Chargers - dont want to say last year - but they did do the swan dive right around this time a year ago. This is a better SD team with a better coaching staff and they wont completely fold. That will be of little consequence to Charger fans after this game though. ************************************* Seattle +2.5 at Arizona -2.5A bloddy bird bath being born below borders. Dont really know what that means, as I am sure many people watching this will be wondering also. Seattle just looked plain bad last week, and Arizona often leaves me thinking the same thing. To make matters worse, Seattle lost LB Chad Brown, one of thier better players on defense. I smell a stinker and really cant defend picking either of thse two, except for they are playing each other. The way Zona waxed the Hawks last time - must account for something. Seattle isnt even as good as they were back then, as if thats possible... ************************************* Washington +2.5 at Jacksonville -2.5Wash has improved its play the last few weeks and has also clawed thier way back into the playoff picture as well. Jacksonville hit a major speed bump in thier playoff hopes. A win would have tied them atop thier division and coming home, but the Jags lost. The other loss for the Jags and possibly more significant was RB Fred Taylor. Without him thier offense becomes that much more ordinary. While Washington has the defense to slow the Jags. The way the Giants ran on the Jags the Skins should find some holes. Wash. QB Shane Matthews gives them a solid effort. I like the Redskins, and really wanted to go with them last week, I feel the same way this week. Just cant see the Skins winning on the road again this week in Jacksonville. Maybe I will feel like this again next Monday. ************************************* Kansas City +5.5 at San Francisco -5.5I like the Chiefs, I think they are a team on the rise. This is a huge game for them because with a win, they will be in very good position to make a run at the playoffs. With Priest Holmes toting the rock - they can do things like that. The Niners however are just playing so well. They really brought it to a tough Raider team, and should just pound the KC defense on the ground with Reggie Barlow, and Garrison Hearst. They can then hit the long one over the top - with even greater ease against the soft KC secondary. Forget the 5 pts this could be a whoopin' ************************************* New England -2.5 at Chicago +2.5Loved the Pats last week in Buffalo and with good reason. These are the Pats yo, they are just getting started. A loss by Mia in NY and a win in Chicago, and guess who is back in the East. Right, Billy B and his battering D. I dont know whats happened to Chicago this year. This will be a tough week to try to get it turned around. They will have to play out of thier mind, and right now the Pats seem to be closer to that kind of insanity. ************************************* Miami +1.5 at N.Y. Jets -1.5The Jets have really shown us recently that they really do have some talent over there and if not for a blocked field goal (which was of course the turfs fault) would be riding a 3 game win streak. The Fish appear to be making thier migration southward in the standings for the winter a little earlier this year. Fins QB Ray Lucas is not that good, but if he has one game in him this year, this will be the game. The Fish are better defensively than what they did monday - but that was against Brett in Packerland, where we told you no one wins - this week fitting the Fish from Florida get the Chad. Jets QB Chad Pennington that is, who has been redhot. He will not find smooth sailing this week against this defense. Ricky will have to carry the team, but he can do that, and so can the Fish. ************************************* Monday, Nov. 11

Oklahoma -9.5 at Texas A&M +9.5GET ACTION ON THIS GAME NOW - CLICK HERE College Station is traditionally one of the very toughest places to play in all of college ball. The Aggies, however, just haven't been getting it done like they have in years past. I think the visitors come in and take this one. Rumors of Bob Stoops' departure for the Big Leagues will not distract this team, and right now they are the best in the land. Besides they already beat the best team in Texas in Dallas earlier this season. A&M's offense just isn't good enough to compensate for their pathetic D. Yeah, they've looked vulnerable. Doc thinks they're just bored. They were playing Rutgers!! It was like cat and mouse, or when you race your little brother and you give him a huge head start! Nothing like a road trip into a hostile environment to wake the boys up. I like Miami to really step up in this game which would they consider a BCS showcase game, and win by a couple of TD's, especially if the Vols can't solve their offensive woes right quick. *************************************
