So the Cardinals pulled off a big upset, are we supposed to buy this Jake "snake" Plummer is the next Montana? I doubt that -- of his 4th quarter "magic" comebacks -- 5 have come at the expense of the Eagles -- or about HALF of his career totals. Plummer averages about 1 win in five starts. Chicago on the other hand -- plays much better with QB Jimm Miller at the helm. Have an solid and improving young Defense. While I dont like taking the Bears and spotting ANYONE a touchdown, I feel confident enough since if you follow the Stock Market you know that traditionally October is the month of the Bears!

Anyway as much as I love Brett Farve and the way the Pack has been playing I saw how Tampas Defense shut down the Pack, and the Ravens feature a much better defense. To the Ravens Credit Grbac has been giving them solid play at the QB spot hitting the occaisional long ball. This will be a slugfest folks and even in Green Bay when the smoke clears, its that ugly Ray Lewis dance we'll be seeing again...

Another close game, the surprising Browns have really impressed me. Couch is maturing rapidly into a real winner. But what really makes Cleve. go is thier Defense. As much as I want to get on the Cleve. wagon this week, I still think Cinci is a nice sleeper team. I like the Bengals to shake their fists at their crosstate rival and snap their little two game skid, I got a hunch Kitna is going to have a big day.

The lions dont look like they can get much worse folks. This is a team that is sinking fast! For Minnesota its a chance to forget the 3 embarassing losses in front of the home fans. The Vikes can look like the contenders they ONCE were on this afternoon. The only way Detroit has a chance is if they dont pass the ball at all. Run, run, run, come up with a huge defensive game, keep the score down... and they will still lose in the end.

Is there any doubt 'bout dem aints!! They are legit Offense, Defense they are playing very well. Carolina showed me something even in defeat. Chris Wenke is a poised "veteran-like" QB (and he should be he's 28 yrs old) who can lead this team. Unfortunately for him, this Saints D is better than what he's faced thus far, and he will really be tested. The Saints should rout, but Carolina might find a way to keep it close at home.

The Rams look like world beaters on monday and are kicking it with a 4-0 mark! All that speed, all those points, the improved defense. Even Dennis Miller can figure out this team is pretty good! Here come the G-men, with thier plodding offense. Getting 10.5!?! uggghhh I am sooo tempted... In order for the G-men to have a chance they need a great game defensively, coupled with some turnovers, and heck we all know Warner will take some risks and throw into coverage. With Sehorn playing at an "all-pro" level lsat week he just might be able to bring one back... uhh yeah, back to the G-men for them to pull this off they need to play D and RUN the ball. Problem is all their backs are banged up, Tiki Barber has a hamstring pull, Ron Dayne pulled his neck, even third string surprise 90 yard rusher D. Washington bruised his shoulder, Wonder if anyone has contacted Ottis Anderson? No backs, No running game--no G-men. Sorry Fans ;)

OK, OK I have been saying it all year, and of course Its reflected in my "record" but dang if the Chiefs aren't a better team than their 1-3 record! Pittsburgh, while having a solid Defense, and Bettis has been running well, Still has Kordell, who is much more suited for running the option than in a pro offense. Just like the Vikings this will be a good "frustration" venting week for the Chiefs who will get this one nailed down.

Of course I have been saying that now for too long it seems, obviously Tenn is hurting from losses in their secondary to free agency, they arent as tough as they once were, and all season long it seems that they have been beaten by the long ball. Well they wont have to worry about that this week. Tampa and their anemic offense is coming to town, as good as theri defense is they still struggle to score points. Tenn. will finally get off the "schneid" this week.

Could be a good time to get off the Raiders, ya think... nah.

This week has been a really busy one for the Doctor, dozens of patients have been scheduling appointments to get checked out for Anthrax. I keep telling them they havent had a hit since 1992! Anyway thats not the type of Doctor that I am. Now onto what it is that I do, do. Do-do :)

Two weeks ago I said that it could be the start of something big for UCLA. They can prove that this week when the other PAC-10 power Washington comes to visit. Washington seems to find ways win games they fall behind early in. If that happens in LA this week UCLA and Corey Paus wont look back. Wash. will make a game of it however UCLA is the real deal and will prevail!
