Our fist salvo of the night is a cross conference confrontation with road weary New Orleans logging their third straight skirmish against an East coast foe. Like the time honored formula giveth, N’awlins outright won both prior contests and throw in the send off game a victory against Utah, and you have New Orleans sporting a 3 game winning streak! Effectively matching their entire win output for the entire season! You see where I am going here? Yeah I don’t think Indiana should be favored by that many points over anyone, especially a team on a three game winning streak, however when they fall, they will fall hard.

Well a lot of what we do here is a lot of what a good football coach or a good basketball coach will do. When you find a weakness, and have something that works, go with it, until it is proven that they can stop it. The NBA is about match ups, and mismatches. As is NBA betting, forget the marquee Thursday night games, we would much rather go for the mighty against the meek on a Tuesday or Wednesday. This game is the epitome of Mighty vs. Meek. Miami on a 6 game winning streak and having won 9 of the last 10, and in the last 7 victories have all been by much better than double digits. Sacramento is playing the 6th game of a 7 game East coast road swing, and have yet to earn a victory, even if they have covered a couple of them.

Not our strongest play on the board, but on a night with only 6 games on the sched. This would be what we call, the “best of the rest”. Philly has been a decent road play, notching 7 covers in 13 games, but Memphis has been heating up winning 6 of the last 7 games. Philly will try and get physical, but Memphis has not been shy about giving it back.
