The
Green Bombers Three
Ball ONLY at the NBA edge! FOR SATURDAY-SUNDAY MAR. 27th, 28th 2004: Special MARCH MADNESS EDITION
Greggy the Greek from THE NFL EDGE is throwing up a NCAA Three Ball for ya!
Greggy the Greek here, making a guest appearence here in the Green Bombers realm. Despite missing on a couple of upsets - I still did OK on the second round games - going 5-3 again. So once again I will give you my NCAA Tournament picks. I am pretty much only taking games straight up - so I am not even looking at the point spread - DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK! HERES MY TAKE FOR ON WHO GOES TO THE FINAL FOUR!
OK so St. Joes has legitimized their no. 1 rank. However Oklahoma State has really impressed me. The way they got out of a defensive struggle against a really good Pitt team. Eddie Sutton has this team ready for tournament play. Joes made a good run, but the bigger OK. St team will take this one.
U. Conn is everything I thought they were. Alabama, got by the Cuse with hot 3 point shooting and scrappy defense. They will be dominated by just a better U Conn team.
Xavier has really impressed also and proved that the Atlantic-10 was a very good conference. Duke though is on another level, they just have too many players who can take over. Too much depth, and Coach K will K-apitalize! Duke.
Recall how I have been saying Kansas is beatable. Well basically a home game in St. Louis, and the tremendous momentum from the big blowout victory, makes them much less so now. Georgia Tech is also a tested tournament team, and winning on the road is something they can do. Tech lost a key guy the other night so that definately plays a role, if he were healthy, I would be all over the Tech, I have liked this team all year, but I cant go against Kansas Because of the huge home court advantage.
Yo so thats my take on the Basketball Tourney... See Ya in the FORUM!!

The GREEN BOMBERS Three Ball at the NBA Edge For Saturday March 27th 2004
New York Knicks @ Detroit Pistons -6 The Detroit Pistons are currently on a losing streal. Coming off of back to back loses. Detroit has won 2 of 3 against this Knicks team with the Knicks losing 3 straight at Auburn Hills. New York needs a good game from their big men if not look for the Wallace boys to bring down the house. Detroit Pistons 85 New York Knicks 78
Phoenix Suns @ San Antonio Spurs (-7.5) The San Antonio Spurs try to sweep the Phoenix Suns for the first time in 14 years! Tim Duncan and his crew will accomplish this tonight.
San Antonio Spurs 98 Phoenix Suns 90
Seattle Supersonics @ Portland Trailblazers (-5.5) The Supersonics try to extend their season high winning streak to 8 games tonight. With the Blazers in 10th spot but just behind the final 8th spot by 1/2 a game with Utah and Denver in a tie. Seattle has beaten Portland twice at home, with Portland winning their last meeting. Like I said before Portland wants the final spot and continue their streak of current playoff appearances. Portland Trailblazers 105 Seattle 93
Now that's the EDGE!!!
