Green Bombers Three
Ball ONLY at the NBA edge! FOR THURSDAY-FRIDAY MAR. 25th, 26th 2004: Special MARCH MADNESS EDITION
Greggy the Greek from THE NFL EDGE is throwing up a NCAA Three Ball for ya!
Greggy the Greek here, making a guest appearence here in the Green Bombers realm. I did OK on the second round games - going 5-3. The Bomber asked me to post up my Sweet Sixteen picks since I been on a decent roll here. I am pretty much only taking games straight up - so I am not even looking at the point spread - DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK! HERES MY TAKE FOR THURSDAYS SWEET SIXTEEN ACTION!
The games definately dont get any easier, as all these teams left are quality - just a matter of how these kids handle it and if the ball is bouncing their way at all. Wake Forest has been solid all year and despite the playing No. 1 seed, I think that Wake has just seen better competition in the ACC all year so I am taking WAKE in the upset! (+3.5 no less) sorry St. Joes.
Oklahoma State has impressed me thus far and despite my picking PITT. to get to the final four, The Cowboys will advance. (probably BECAUSE I picked PITT!!) Winner Syracuse will need more hot shooting to get past Alabama, but the defending champs are proving they were no fluke!
U. Conn will end a great run for Vandy. Winner Duke has really impressed me in the tournament, you will know why I picked them to win it all when they eliminate a very good Illinois team. Winner Xavier has really impressed and proved that the A-10 was no joke this year, but Texas will prevail in this game.
Everyone just keeps writing Nevada off - once again I will pick Georgia Tech to do so, but I have become quite the Nevada fan thus far and will be pulling for the upset! Winner For the REAL upset Special I do like UAB with the 6.5 points, still I cant see them outright beating Kansas in a big game like this in St. Louis with a hostile crowd. Still Kansas is beatable!
Winner
Yo so thats my take on the Basketball Tourney... See Ya in the FORUM!!
